Plagiarism & Use of AI

Yamtara-Wala Journal of Arts, Management and Social Sciences (YAJAMSS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening using appropriate similarity detection tools prior to peer review. Manuscripts found to contain significant overlap with previously published work, without proper citation or justification, will be rejected. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and that all sources are properly acknowledged.

The journal recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) tools may be used to support aspects of research and manuscript preparation. Authors are required to disclose any use of AI where it has materially contributed to the development of the manuscript, including its use in drafting, editing, literature review, data analysis, or the preparation of visual materials. Such disclosure should clearly describe the nature and extent of AI assistance to ensure transparency and allow appropriate evaluation of the work.

AI tools must not be listed as authors, as authorship implies accountability and responsibility that can only be attributed to human contributors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of their work, regardless of any AI assistance used. The use of AI to fabricate data, manipulate results, or generate misleading content is strictly prohibited. Where AI is used in data analysis or interpretation, sufficient detail must be provided to enable understanding, verification, and reproducibility of the results. YAJAMSS adheres to international standards of publication ethics and expects all submissions to comply with these principles.

Authors should include a clear disclosure statement within their manuscript where AI tools have been used. A suggested format is as follows: “The author(s) used [name of AI tool] for [specific purpose, e.g., language editing, literature search, data analysis]. All outputs were reviewed and verified by the author(s), who take full responsibility for the content of this manuscript.” Where no AI tools have been used, authors may state: “No artificial intelligence tools were used in the preparation of this manuscript.”
