Abstract

This paper evaluates the transferability of strategies and mechanisms used in the Northern Ireland peace process to the Boko Haram conflict in Nigeria. Through comparative analysis of historical context, political dynamics, and mediation efforts, the paper assesses the feasibility of adopting similar frameworks for dialogue, disarmament, and reconciliation. It identifies potential challenges arising from the unique religious, ethnic, and regional dimensions of the Nigerian conflict. The paper relies on secondary sources including official documents, news reports, books, and scholarly literature. It recommends gainful employment and development-oriented measures to counter Boko Haram and similar movements.
