Abstract

La Marmite de Koka-Mbala suivi de L’Oracle de Guy Menga is a theatrical work that describes a traditional tribunal and the administration of traditional law. This article analyses the ideology of African kings on judgment as presented in Guy Menga’s work. Using a sociocritical approach, the paper examines the different aspects of justice and traditional judgment in the text. The study highlights that death should not be the final outcome of every judgment and demonstrates how the work portrays justice, tradition, law, and spiritual authority within African society.
