Abstract

This paper examines spirituality in creative and artistic outputs. It explores religious belief, faith, fatalism, and predestination in literary production and how these elements help human beings understand themselves, others, and their cosmic and mundane worldviews. Using psychoanalysis as its framework, the study adopts a qualitative literary analysis of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Findings suggest that man is a spiritually sensitive being whose actions are shaped by supernatural atmospheres, fate, predestination, omen, subconscious forces, suffering, and psychological trauma.
