Abstract

This paper argues that digitalization and globalization are intertwined phenomena that contribute to global growth and development but have paradoxically marginalized distressed communities in sub-Saharan Africa. It examines how global digitalization affects developing economies through economy, political integration, multiculturalism, conflict, consumerism, and social dislocation. The study adopts an ethnographic descriptive design, uses documentary review and content analysis, and is anchored in marginalization theory. It concludes that sub-Saharan Africa has not fully benefited from digital-globalization and requires institutional investments and infrastructure to support socio-economic growth.
