Abstract

This study examines Hausa language as a means of promoting peace and sustainable development in Nigeria. It argues that language is a powerful tool for communication and can either promote or undermine peace in society. The study suggests ways of using Hausa language to support sustainable peace and development in a pluralistic society. It also positions Hausa language as important for national cohesion, communication, conflict resolution, policy communication, democratic participation, and development in Nigeria.
