Abstract

This research examines pay inequalities within the same organisation, Ministry of Finance Plateau State, and between male and female gender occupying similar positions. The analysis was conducted within the same ranks. Questionnaires were administered by ranks and levels of staff so that the analysis of gender inequality could be identified. The study sought to identify staff by gender and ranks, identify gender gap, and suggest how income inequality can be minimized between genders and ranks. The study concluded that women and men in similar positions in the same field of work made different salaries for several reasons, one of which is gender disparity.
