Abstract

This paper examines the relationship between job satisfaction and employee turnover in private secondary schools in Kaduna State. The study used a survey research design and collected data from 150 teachers. A null hypothesis was developed and statistically examined. Data analysis included one-way analysis of variance, frequency and percentage distribution. Findings revealed that job satisfaction has a significant negative relationship with employee turnover. The study also found that salary, job security and opportunities for career growth are important determinants of job satisfaction among teachers in private secondary schools in Kaduna State.
