Abstract

This paper employed empirical and descriptive research methods to examine inter-religious dialogue and religio-political relations as a panacea for nation building in Nigeria. The concepts of inter-religious dialogue, religio-political relations and nation building were discussed. The paper highlighted inter-religious dialogue and religio-political relations as a panacea for nation building, as well as their challenges and prospects. It concluded that effective and sustainable nation building requires concerted efforts from religious leaders, civil society organizations, government institutions and the international community. The paper recommended inclusive platforms for open dialogue between religious groups.
