Abstract

The paper discussed the relationship between self-concept and moral reasoning of gifted and non-gifted science secondary school students in Kano State. Correlational research design was used to predict scores and explain the relationship between variables. The population consisted of male and female students from urban and rural schools, with a sample of 365 students. Four instruments were employed: Defining Issue Test, Academic Self-Concept Questionnaire, Mental Ability Test and Teacher Nomination Checklist. Findings showed a significant relationship between self-concept and moral reasoning among gifted and non-gifted students.
